Team Singapore emerges as Champions at the first ever Singapore-Malaysia BRAND'S Blogger Challenge
Cross-country competition sparked off by the results of BRAND'S® Asian Mental Performance Survey
SINGAPORE, 3 December 2008 – A face-off between bloggers from Singapore and Malaysia, in the first-ever Singapore-Malaysia BRAND'S® Blogger Challenge, saw the Singaporean team emerging as champions.

The 10 bloggers, grouped as Singapore versus Malaysia, pitted their mental performance against one another in a series of challenges that tested their concentration, memory and quick-thinking in a heated race against the clock where every second counted.
After the tense 30-minute challenge, Team Singapore came up tops, winning the game by a score of 54 against Team Malaysia’s score of 47.
A jubilant Wilfrid Wong, captain of Team Singapore said: "The challenge was really intense and at times, I felt as if I was on the edge of my seat. The games really tested our memory and reaction time."
He added: "I used to take BRAND’S® Essence of Chicken when I was in school, especially during the exam period, and found that it helped me stay alert and focus better. It contains all natural ingredients so it is much better for our bodies. Taking BRAND’S® this time round was very useful too, because the games tested us on our concentration and clear thinking."
The Singapore-Malaysia BRAND’S® Blogger Challenge is a first-time effort by BRAND’S® to reach out to younger consumers via key opinion leaders online.

Team Malaysia’s captain, KK Hoo agrees: "We really had a lot of fun at the BRAND’S® Blogger Challenge. Who knew that a bunch of bloggers could be this entertaining? Maybe we should have taken more than just 14 bottles of BRAND’S® Essence of Chicken in order to win the challenge. Well, maybe next time!"
Ms Isabella Tan, Vice President for Regional Marketing at Cerebos Pacific Limited said: "We are always open to engaging our consumers through new and innovative ways and reaching out to younger consumers through the relevant use of online channels to generate discussions about BRAND’S® and our products."
She added."This first ever Blogger Challenge was inspired by the BRAND’S® Asian Mental Performance Survey which looks into how Asians in the region perceive their current state of mental performance. Aside from Thailand and India, there are significantly more Singaporeans and Malaysians who think they are faring well in the area of mental performance, compared to the other countries in the survey like Japan."
The BRAND’S® Asian Mental Performance Survey was commissioned by BRAND’S® in eight countries with 1,726 respondents across Asia. The findings revealed that Singaporeans and Malaysians are most satisfied with their ability to think clearly and least satisfied with their ability to think creatively.
