Anthocyanins are naturally occurring plant pigments responsible for the red, purple and blue colors of many fruits, vegetables, cereal grains and flowers. It is a group of antioxidants highly valued for their effects on visual acuity. Blackcurrant contains one of the highest anthocyanin levels, higher than Blackberry or Bilberry.
